I'm giving up

I'm giving up thinking my parents might ever change their mind. I'm giving up the hurt that's been welling up inside me from the pain they've caused. I'm giving up thinking that everyone is going to abandon me like they did, or hurt me like Mamoru and Jude. I'm giving up hiding when I'm hurt. I'm giving up not being willing to cry in front of the people who do love me.... And I'm giving up trying to pretend that the future doesn't frighten me. I'm giving all of that up, and I hope that in doing so, I can step into the light without fear.
